New player that boosted to 80 needing advice

Hey I recently started the game and decided to use a boost to level 80, the reason for that is i read everywhere that the real game started with the expansions, so having to grind heart quests between main quests felt like a waste of time to me. I prefer to be able to just follow the MSQ. 

Now my question : The spec that i wanna main is Holosmith, but right now i only have the core engineer unlocked, should i instantly go to expansions zone to unlock holosmiths spells, or should i keep on grinding the msq and do things in order? Thanks
